AI and How We Write

Our guides are researched and written with AI assistance. AI tools draft each page to a written set of house rules, automated checks test every page against those rules, and the site owner decides what goes live. No page has been reviewed by a vet, so health content stays with preventive care and points you to your vet.

Who Writes the Pages

Happy Waggy Tails is a small independent site. The pages are drafted by AI writing tools working from detailed instructions: what each kind of page must cover, what it must never do, and where facts have to come from. The site owner writes those instructions, approves the designs and sample pages, and decides what is published.

We use the AI-disclosure line at the foot of each guide ("Researched and written with AI assistance") because it describes what actually happens. We don't put invented author names or job titles on pages.

The Rules Every Page Follows

  • Facts from reputable sources. Breed clubs, kennel clubs, welfare charities, veterinary bodies and government pages. We never invent statistics, studies or quotes.
  • Preventive care only. We cover vaccination as a topic, parasite prevention as a topic, neutering, dental care, weight and check-ups. We don't write about symptoms, diagnoses or treatments.
  • No medicine links. We never link to wormers, flea or tick treatments, supplements sold as treatments, or anything a vet prescribes.
  • The law, carefully. Rules about animals differ by country, so we give the general point and send you to your national authority.
  • Both kinds of units. Imperial and metric together, so readers everywhere can use the numbers.

Wherever medicines or parasites come up, our pages carry this notice:

Medicines, worming and parasite treatments: see your vet or a pet supply store with trained staff. They can tell you what suits your animal and where you live.

How Pages Are Checked

Before a page goes live, an automated checker reads it for broken links, missing safety notices, medicine links, units given without a conversion, missing legal pointers and our banned words. Pages that fail are fixed first. Legal and welfare points are checked against the official source on the day they are written.

Checks catch wording and markup, not every error of fact. If you spot something wrong, please tell us: we read every report.

Pictures

Our pictures are being made with an AI image generator. They illustrate a page; they are not photos of real animals, and we don't use them to show symptoms or health problems. Until each picture arrives, the page shows a clearly marked placeholder.

How the Site Is Paid For

We earn a commission from Amazon on qualifying purchases made through our shop buttons, and some pages carry adverts from third-party networks. Neither changes what we write. Our editorial promise explains the lines we hold, and privacy and cookies explains what the adverts and buttons store.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions readers ask most about how this site is made.

Is Happy Waggy Tails written by AI?

Yes, with AI assistance. AI tools research and draft our pages to written house rules, and automated checks test every page against those rules. The site owner sets the rules and decides what goes live.

Has a vet checked your pages?

No. No page on this site has been reviewed by a vet, and we don't claim otherwise. That is why we keep health content to preventive care and always send you to a vet for anything else.

Are the pictures real photos?

No. Our pictures are being made with an AI image generator and are illustrations, not photos of real animals. Until they arrive, you will see marked placeholders.

How do I report a mistake?

Use our contact page and tell us the page address and what looks wrong. We read every report and fix confirmed errors.
